We’ve got more suggestions for surf stays here in our guide to the top surf camps in Fuerteventura

Surfintrip Camp

Surfintrip Camp, Fuerteventura

We reallllly like what’s on offer from the guys over at Surfintrip. We like it so much that we’ve ranked this one as the top surf camp and surf stay on the island for both 2024 and 2025.

Here’s the deal: For a set price (around $600-700 per person) you will score seven nights’ accommodation in a whitewashed Spanish villa on the edge of the natural park of Corralejo (that’s super close to the beginner-friendly beach breaks there).

It’s a sprawling home with its own pool and patioed garden, complete with a surf rack and BBQ area where all the guests tend to gather and hang as the evening sets in.

But the price point here offers MUCH MORE than just a bed and a cool place to stay.

It also gives you 6x 3-4-hour surf lessons with the in-house instructors at Surfintrip, all your gear rental, and surf insurance to cover your sessions. That means you’ll be taken directly to the surf spot each morning by your guide and get proper surf training throughout the week.

Essentially, you’re paying for a surf course and a hostel bed in one, and we realllly think that’s worth it if you’re a beginner or improver looking for hands-on surf teaching.

Surfers Retreat

Surfers Retreat is one of the highest rated surf hostels on the island right now. If you believe the guest reviews, you’re looking at a whopping 9.8/10 and plaudits for being one of the cleanest, best-run hostels in the entire Canarian chain.

We have to say…we agree with the good words.

Set smack dab in the middle of Corralejo town, Surfers Retreat is primely located for enjoying all the bars and restaurants of the main hub of the island’s north coast.

It’s a fantastic base for surfers, who can access the long Playas Grandes beaches to the south (protected bays with reefs and points galore that work really nicely in the height of winter) but also the more exposed beach breaks and points of El Cotillo (a mere 25-minute drive to the west).

The accommodation is adult’s only. It’s simple but ticks all the right boxes. Clean doubles and dorm rooms, nice and spacious shared bathrooms, and a gorgeous sun terrace with its own splash pool are all part of the deal.

It’s also a bargain – grab a bed here for around the $30/night mark.

Dreamsea Surf House Fuerteventura

The most stylish of the all the surf hostels Fuerteventura can muster, the Dreamsea Surf House is built in the same form as all the rest of the Dreamsea brand. AKA – it’s GORGEOUS to look at.

Whitewashed walls give way to cacti gardens. Wicker chairs sit in the shade of royal palms. The bedding is plush linen and the furnishings in the communal spaces are rich woods and polished concrete.

Even the dorms look bloody lovely – we’re talking serene spaces that sleep up to four people in bunks that have super-thick matresses and their own ensuites with walk-in showers.

The guys at Dreamsea run regular surf lessons and even full-on surf courses. You can just book them when you arrive and join whichever suits you. A standalone 2-hour surf lesson starts at €120 per person. A complete course of 10 hours of teaching plus surf intro and theory for a beginner costs €260.

Surf Riders Fuerteventura

Surf Riders Fuerteventura has all the right ingredients for a perfect surf getaway. Picture a garden pool surrounded by walls adorned with vibrant graffiti, laid-back ping-pong sessions in the evening with fellow guests, and an al fresco BBQ area where they cook up Canarian tapas after dark.

What we love most about this spot, as you can probably gather from our lyrical intro there, is just how familial it feels. The guys here welcome all guests like old friends. And you’ll leave feeling like you’ve known the people there for yonks.

The surf packages here are very, very good. Book yourself the accommodation and then join a course. They run everything from single lessons to three-day packages right up to full 10-day surf teaching courses that promise a ratio of no more than 6-to-1 student to instructor and transport and surf guiding at some of the best spots around the island.

The base itself is in Corralejo, the main town of Fuerte.
